Ayo Ayoola-Amale, PhD -Biography

Ayo Ayoola-Amale is a seasoned conflict resolution consultant and peacebuilder trained by the Clingendael Netherlands Institute of International Relations, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), and the African Union.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), BL, LLM (Law), LLM in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), a Master’s degree in Conflict Resolution, and a PhD in Social Work with great distinction and commendation, reflecting her exceptional research work in peacebuilding through women’s empowerment.
She previously served as a Senior Law Lecturer at Ghana Communication Technology University and Wisconsin University, and as Head of Law at Kings University. She has extensive teaching experience across universities in Nigeria, Ghana, and Dakar.
Ayo is the founder of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (Ghana) and the International Cities of Peace, Lagos, Nigeria.
Currently, Ayo focuses on women’s empowerment, women, peace and security, conflict resolution, training, and consulting. Drawing on her expertise in law and alternative dispute resolution (ADR), she drives positive change through policy advocacy and gender-responsive peacebuilding initiatives aimed at dismantling structural inequalities.
Her certifications include Preventive Diplomacy, Mediation and Negotiation, Women, Peace and Security, Restorative Justice, and Trauma Healing from UNITAR, the Africa Centre for Constructive Resolution of Disputes (ACCORD), and Clingendael in The Hague. She is a member of FemWise-Africa, a key pillar of the African Union’s Peace and Security Architecture (APSA), where she contributes to advancing women’s roles in peace and security.
She is an alumnus of the University of San Diego, Lakeside Global Institute, the University of California, Irvine, and Emory University.
Her diverse skill set spans legal expertise, conflict resolution and transformation, gender and women’s issues, disarmament, peace, and security. With an unwavering commitment to professionalism and a passion for promoting peace, Ayo was awarded the Honourable Global Mediator in 2014 in Madrid. She has made a significant impact in conflict resolution, embodying integrity, empathy, and collaboration in all her endeavours.

Her book, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and Justice in Ghana, is ranked among the best-selling ADR books of all time. Her experience ranges from community-level engagement to Track 1.5 preventive diplomacy, mediation, and peacebuilding.

Victoria Eyo Osadebe is a dedicated professional in social work and community development, holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a Master’s Degree in Social Work. She is an active member of the City of Peace Initiative, contributing to peacebuilding and community welfare efforts.
Professionally, Victoria served as the Administration and Protocol Officer at the Down Syndrome Foundation Nigeria, where she demonstrated strong leadership and team management skills by leading administrative teams, delegating tasks effectively, and fostering a collaborative work environment to enhance organizational efficiency and advocacy for individuals with Down syndrome. Her expertise in strategic planning and policy development enables her to implement administrative policies and operational frameworks that optimize resource allocation and ensure compliance.
Victoria also possesses strong proficiency in budgeting and financial oversight, leveraging her accounting background to manage budgeting, forecasting, and auditing responsibilities with accuracy and accountability.
In addition to her formal roles, she currently volunteers with the Divine Gatekeepers Global Foundation in Nigeria, where she supports initiatives that promote global humanitarian and developmental goals. In this role, she applies her skills in project coordination and protocol management to successfully handle complex projects and high-level engagements.
Her qualifications are further strengthened by an Ordinary Diploma in Medical Social Work, equipping her with specialized competencies in healthcare and social support services. She is also highly skilled in stakeholder engagement and communication, building productive relationships, facilitating negotiations, and effectively conveying policies to diverse audiences. Additionally, her proficiency in data analysis and reporting enables her to assess administrative data, generate insightful reports, and apply metrics to improve performance and inform decision-making.
Victoria’s multifaceted background reflects her strong commitment to inclusive development, organizational excellence, and compassionate service.

Dero Daniels Biography

Director of Training, International Association of Women Influencers

Dero Daniels is a distinguished legal practitioner with over two decades of expertise in dispute resolution, corporate governance, and compliance. Renowned for her dedication to institutional integrity, anti-corruption efforts, and the promotion of good governance—especially in developing economies—she excels in navigating intricate domestic and international legal landscapes. Her career is marked by strategic counsel in high-stakes scenarios and a steadfast commitment to ethical standards.
As a Partner at Vita Veritas LLP in Lagos, Nigeria, Dero leads the firm’s Dispute Resolution practice. She oversees complex litigation involving corporate fraud, regulatory compliance, and multi-jurisdictional disputes, while guiding a team in managing high-value commercial cases and regulatory investigations. She also delivers strategic governance and integrity compliance advice to multinational corporations and financial institutions.
Previously, as a Senior Associate at leading Nigerian firms such as Olisa Agbakoba Legal and Banwo & Ighodalo, Dero amassed a portfolio of landmark achievements. These include successfully defending a multinational oil company against a ₦5 trillion environmental tort claim, recovering over ₦280 million for a financial institution victimized by investment fraud, and averting the license revocation of a bank subsidiary before the Securities and Exchange Commission through expert regulatory advocacy. Her proficiency extends to intellectual property mediation, tax disputes, and rigorous due diligence, notably during Nigeria’s 2004 banking consolidation.
Beyond litigation, Dero has driven legal policy and institutional reform. She served as a Committee Member for the High Court of Lagos State Civil Procedure Rules Review across multiple cycles, contributing to procedural modernization and improved judicial efficiency. Her advocacy for access to justice is evident in her role as a Director and Trainer of Trainers with the International Cities of Peace initiative, Lagos, Nigeria, where she established community-based dispute resolution frameworks.
Dero holds an LLM in Comparative Commercial Law from BPP University, London, and is a Certified Mediator with the Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse. She is an active member of esteemed professional bodies, including the Nigerian Bar Association, the International Bar Association, and FemWise Africa—a network of African women in conflict prevention and mediation.

As a thought leader, she has authored publications on corporate governance and the admissibility of electronic evidence in Nigerian courts and has provided expert legal opinions to the High Court of England and Wales on Nigerian customary law.
